Bringin’ in the Green 2024 Raises Over $80K, Breaking Event Record!

On Thursday, March 14, the Montrose Center celebrated its 32nd annual St. Patrick’s Day party, Bringin’ in the Green, which shattered records by raising over $80,000 to support your local LGBTQ center!

We extend our sincerest gratitude to our gracious host Chris Robertson for generously opening his home to our guests. Chris’ stunning home boasts three stories, picturesque balconies, and a rooftop patio with sweeping views of Montrose and Downtown.

A special acknowledgment goes to Host Committee members Paul Brockman & Scott Greenwood for underwriting the event’s costs with Chris. The three also offered an extraordinary $20,000 matching gift, doubling the impact of our guests’ contributions. Funds generated from Bringin’ in the Green directly support the Montrose Center and our expansive variety of services and programs.

Huge thanks to our Chief Executive Officer Avery Belyeu for her enthusiastic participation and heartfelt remarks. Avery’s inspiring words emphasized the transformative power of community and collective action when rallying together for a noble cause.

In addition to catching up with old friends, the event featured a raffle and a silent auction showcasing luxurious items. Auction highlights included a one-week getaway to Mystic, Connecticut and a pair of airline tickets generously donated by Southwest Airlines, an exclusive backstage experience with drag performer Reign LaRue, a wine appreciation class courtesy of Nice Winery, a captivating photography art series by Frank Parsley, and much more. Proceeds from the raffle and auction directly support the Montrose Center.

Following the main festivities, guests enjoyed exclusive access to Catbirds through a private entrance. An earnest thank you to Catbirds for their exceptional hospitality! We would also like to recognize our Pot O’ Gold Sponsors: Chris Robertson, Paul Brockman & Scott Greenwood, David Arnold & Karma Burford, Paul & Leon Guillory, Richard Jiménez & Adán Medrano, and KJ LeCornet. This wonderful event would not be possible without your generosity and commitment to our cause.

Thank you to our amazing team of volunteers whose dedication ensured the success of this year’s celebration. We are profoundly grateful to these individuals, our sponsors, and Houston’s LGBTQ community for their continuous unwavering support.
