Supporter Spotlight: Krewe of Olympus

The Krewe of Olympus is one of the largest predominantly gay krewes in the nation. As a 501(c)(3) organization, its purpose is two-fold: to present theatrical and educational events that perpetuate and continue Mardi Gras traditions and to raise money for charity.

Founded in New Orleans in 1970, the Krewe has been active in Houston since 1992. Since the move, the organization has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities in Houston and Dallas. Montrose Counseling Center’s Holiday Basket Program is proud to be a current beneficiary.

Laissez les bons temps roulez. At its core, the Krewe is about fun. Good times. The Mardi Gras spirit is perpetuated every year at the Krewe’s annual ball and other fun events. Ready to get involved?
