We Appreciate Our Volunteers All Year

Did you know that April 15th – 21st is National Volunteer Appreciation Week?

We truly do have some of the most amazing volunteers. Volunteers are an important part of the Montrose Counseling Center family.  Every week they provide more than 100 hours to benefit the community and our clients.  Some of the many wonderful things volunteers do for us:

•  Assemble hundreds of packets for our outreach team.
•  Help our reception desk with clerical work so that they may focus on serving clients.
•  Set up rooms in the GLBT Cultural Center so community groups may have their meetings.
•  Answer Gay & Lesbian Switchboard 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
•  Support GLBT youth by facilitating HATCH meetings.
•  Assist users  with computer tasks in our CyberCenter.
•  Encourage clients as they work out in the EMBody Fit cardio center.
•  Lead wellness classes in the GLBT Cultural Center
•  Staff informational tables to help spread the word about our services.
•  Work at fundraising events that benefit our programs.

The time and work donated by our volunteers frees up resources so that we can do even more for our community.

Volunteering helps us out a lot, but it’s also a great experience for our volunteers. They meet new people, have fun, and feel great about giving back to the community.  Whether you have a few hours each week to give or a few hours each year, please consider donating your time and expertise to Montrose Counseling Center as a volunteer.
