We Want to Hear From You!

The Montrose Center is currently collecting input from our community stakeholders as we prepare for our current Executive Director to retire at the end of 2023. Our search for the Center’s next CEO has begun, and we are seeking meaningful responses to this survey to help inform that search, help us improve our services, and guide the organization’s next decade of serving Houston’s LGBTQ+ community. All answers are anonymous (unless you put identifying information) and will be reviewed by executive leadership, our board, and the CEO search committee.

The Montrose Center opened in 1978 as the Montrose Counseling Center (MCC), and has proudly served the LGBTQ community for over four decades. Please share your views on what has made the Center successful during this time. If you believe there have been challenges to the Center realizing its full potential, please share your views.

The Montrose Center’s mission is to empower our community—primarily lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) individuals and their families—to live healthier, more fulfilling lives. What are the key issues and challenges facing our community that the Center may focus its work on over the coming decade?

The Montrose Center envisions a healthier society marked by permanent, positive changes in attitudes and behaviors toward the LGBTQ communities, and the ability of all LGBTQ individuals to realize their fullest potential. What work can the Montrose Center do to help realize this vision? How will the Center know that its work is succeeding?
