What You Want Your Future Healthcare Providers to Know

What You Want Your Future Healthcare Providers to Know

What: Informal panel presentation to medical students

When: Wednesday, Aug. 9, 6-7:30 pm in room 114

Where: Montrose Center, room 114

Why: To help future doctors better serve the LGBT community for years to come

We are looking for about 5 LGBT community members of different sexual orientations and different gender identities to participate in an evening class on LGBT Health for second year medical students at Baylor College of Medicine.

Volunteers will be on a panel to discuss their negative and positive experiences with medical providers and what they want healthcare providers to know.  Negative experiences are more educational to students than only positive experiences. Volunteers will also take questions from students in the class. The event is intended to be a positive learning experience for students and LGBT participants.

If you are interested in being part of this panel and sharing your experiences, please give your name and contact information to the receptionist at the front desk 713.529.0037 or email Chris Kerr ckerr@montrosecenter.org
