HIV/AIDS Counseling Program Coordinator Receives Prestigious Recognition

On June 13, Program Coordinator Keville Ware, LCSW, received the L. Joel Martinez Memorial Award for his dedication and commitment to providing assistance to persons living with HIV/AIDS. The award was presented by The Center for AIDS/Legacy Community Health Services.

Keville just celebrated his 20th Anniversary at Montrose Counseling Center, and in those two decades, he has provided leadership in the education of our staff and other service providers about HIV and Mental Health, HIV Stigma, and HIV and aging. He is a staff therapist who also facilitates a long-term HIV survivor’s group. Keville maintains a timeline and history of HIV so that people who weren’t around in the 80’s and 90’s may understand the impact, loss and trauma that our community faced. We hope you will join us in congratulating Keville Ware.
