Sign‑Up Guide for Bunnies on the Bayou 🐰🌈
Thank you for your interest in supporting Bunnies on the Bayou, taking place on Easter Sunday, April 5th! Please follow the steps below to sign up for a shift using the Causer App. The opportunities will be managed and operated by Bunnies on the Bayou instead of the Montrose Center. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO JOIN THE MONTROSE CENTER TEAM so your participation is counted toward our team’s support.
Step 1: Download the Causer App
- Download the Causer App from the App Store or Google Play
- Open the app and create an account if you do not already have one
You can reference the Causer help article here if needed.
Step 2: Join the “Bunnies on the Bayou” Organization
- Log into the Causer App
- Use the search function to find “Bunnies on the Bayou”
- Select the organization and tap Join
You must join the organization before you will be able to see or sign up for shifts.
Step 3: Select Your Volunteer Shift
- Once you have joined the organization, navigate to the Opportunities or Shifts section
- Look for available shifts scheduled for the April 5th weekend
- Select the shift that works best for your availability
- Confirm your sign‑up
- This is there you will select your chosen beneficiary to volunteer on behalf of. If you do not select the beneficiary here it will not count towards that beneficiaries volunteer requirements
Please double‑check the date and time of your shift to ensure it aligns with the Bunnies on the Bayou Easter Weekend event (April 4-6th includes both setup days and storage/tear down).
Important Reminder for Bar Volunteers 🍹
⚠️ All bar shifts require an active TABC Certification.
- You must have a valid and current TABC certification to work any bar‑related shift
- Be prepared to provide proof of certification if requested
- Volunteers without active TABC certification will not be permitted to work bar shifts
- We recommend using www.360training.com for your certification. The Montrose Center does not cover the cost of the TABC certification.

Not your average gala, come be part of the magic! ✨
Volunteer at the Empowering Our Future Gala: Once Upon a Time, an entertainment filled evening celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and supporting vital youth services at the Montrose Center. Help bring the night to life from guest experience to event support while enjoying incredible LGBTQ+ performances, a vibrant community driven crowd, and a meaningful program making real impact.
Program: You are welcome to arrive early or stay after to enjoy the show! While we are unable to provide a seated dinner, volunteers will have access to a dedicated room with food and refreshments plus plenty of standing room to take in the night.
Dress Code: This is our most fun event of the year! Themed costumes are encouraged following our Once Upon a Time fairytale theme, but cocktail attire or all black is always a great option if you are not sure what to wear.
Parking: Volunteers will need to cover their own parking. Options include on site valet, a parking garage at the same rate, or limited street parking nearby.
Alcohol: We kindly ask that volunteers refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages before or during their shift.

Help set up for the Montrose Center’s annual Youth Prom. Location will be disclosed after volunteer shift sign up.
