TGiving: Transgender Thanksgiving
A place and a community for which to be thankful. Join us for this special event.

History
The annual Transgender Thanksgiving party is a cherished tradition started in the mid-90s by Brenda Thomas, a fierce activist in Houston’s transgender community. Though Brenda passed away in 2006, her legacy lives on. For the past five years, the Montrose Center has proudly continued this tradition, held every year on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, kicking off our holiday food programs.
TGiving: A Thanksgiving Celebration

Our annual TGiving Celebration is on Tuesday, November 26 from 6 – 9 PM at the Montrose Center.
Join us for our annual TGiving: Trans Thanksgiving Celebration! This free event is open to all transgender individuals, family, friends, and allies of all ages. We’ll provide a catered Thanksgiving dinner with various sides, and you’re welcome to bring your favorite dish to share, though it’s not required—there will be plenty of food for all registered guests, including vegan options.
This year’s celebration will feature an interactive gaming room, a photo booth, and a quiet crafting space for when you need a break. Door prizes! Swag bags! Come join us for a wonderful evening of community and celebration!
