The Dianas Award Ceremony – Saturday, March 12

MCC’s work with Houston’s GLBT homeless youth population, along with our Anti-GLBT Bullying campaign, have been chosen as the main beneficiary of this year’s event. We are honored to be included in this wonderful organization’s efforts. Now in its 58th year, the Diana Foundation is the nation’s oldest continually active gay organization. This year’s Awards ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. at the Hilton Americas at 1600 Lamar.

Positively Resilient: The Premiere of Houston’s HIV/AIDS-Focused Theatre Company – Saturday, March 19

Sponsored by Montrose Counseling Center, this community outreach theatre performance will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, in the GLBT Cultural Center, at 401 Branard, 1st Floor. Established in 2010, Positively Resilient is the brain child of Producer and Director Pressley Giles. The multicultural stage performance will include several true stories in additional to moving fictional accounts of life with HIV and AIDS by published novelist Wolf Phoenix. Spring Fling for the HATCHlings – Sunday, March 20

Join the Gay & Lesbian Yellow Pages, Montrose Star, J.P. Gill, and George’s Country Sports Bar as they raise money for our youth program HATCH on Sunday, March 20. The event will include hamburgers, entertainment, and a silent auction and will take place from 4 – 8 p.m. at George’s Country Sports Bar, 617 Fairview.

Cut-A-Thon – Tuesday, April 12

Looking for a new favorite salon? Try Marbella Salon & Spa, located in the heart of Montrose at 415 Westheimer, Suite 210, just blocks from MCC. On Tuesday, April 12, Marbella Spa and Salon will donate a portion of their proceeds from the event to MCC. What a great opportunity to support us by getting your hair cut. Bunnies on the Bayou – Easter Sunday, April 24

MCC’s Client Assistance Fund has been chosen as a beneficiary of this year’s Bunnies on the Bayou. More information will be available in the April newsletter, but we wanted you to be able to mark your calendars now!
