Annual Transgender Thanksgiving Potluck

Join us for a wonderful time with members of Houston’s transgender community! This potluck & party is free and open to all transgender individuals, family, friends, and allies of all ages. We provide the turkey, you bring the sides!

The annual Transgender Thanksgiving party is a tradition started in the mid-90s by Brenda Thomas, a fierce activist in Houston’s transgender community. Brenda unfortunately passed away in 2006, but her legacy remains today. The Montrose Center now works with the transgender community to continue this tradition every year on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

This event is a great opportunity to meet new friends, show support, and be with “family” for some extra holiday love, especially for those of whose given families are not as supportive as we need them to be.

There is no obligation to bring a dish but you are welcome to contribute! Sign up to bring a dish by going to bit.ly/transgenderthanksgiving!

***Please be sure to label your dishes and serving utensils! We want to make sure everyone gets their items back at the end of the event.
