Voices for Equality Storytelling Training
October 25 @ 11:30 am - 4:30 pm

Unlock the power of your story, and inspire change through narrative.
HRC has launched a nationwide effort to engage LGBTQ+ people and allies to reignite the grassroots fight for equality. At the heart of this campaign is a renewed focus on one of the most powerful tools we have for changing hearts, minds, and policies: our personal stories.
Since the earliest days of the LGBTQ+ movement, personal storytelling has been one of our most powerful tools for change. When people hear directly from LGBTQ+ people — their friends, neighbors, family members — they see us for who we are. Our stories influence how others vote, speak up, and show up when our rights, safety, and dignity are on the line.
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation has created a first-of-its-kind training — Voices for Equality: Moving Hearts and Changing Minds. The in-person training was launched as part of HRC’s American Dreams Tour and will continue on in other cities across the country.
The Voices for Equality: Moving Hearts and Changing Minds training explores:
Why storytelling is more needed than ever
What stories we need to tell
How to tell them for maximum impact
