Not ready to join yet? Need more information? We invite you to learn more below about how to understand your sexual self, and plan for a healthy long-term recovery from substance use.
Sex + Substances
Sex and substance use often intersect (PnP/parTy). Substances can make sex and intimacy seem more pleasurable. However, substances often interfere with experiencing sexual pleasure/intimacy and can negatively affect work, relationships, finances and health; leaving one feeling “out of control”.
Sexual Health + Recovery
The Sexual Health in Recovery (SHIR) program is designed to help those looking to explore sex and substances. SHIR is a combination of counseling and support services designed to help you reach your personal and recovery goals. The program’s emphasis is on finding balance in sexual pleasure and sexual safety.
Sex + Empowerment
You don’t have to go through this alone. Whether you are looking to start your recovery journey or simply want to talk to someone about sex and substances – we offer the following as part of the SHIR program, all with specialty Sexual Health + Recovery professionals:
- Individual Counseling/Therapy
- Substance Use Treatment (IOP/SOP)
- Outreach and Education
- Case Management
