It hardly seems enough to dedicate just one week to say “thank you” to the many volunteers who make a difference at nonprofits around the country.  The Montrose Center volunteers are some of the most talented folks on the planet, and we’re extra-grateful for your generosity.

More than 200 people give their time and talent to us each year, from individuals who volunteer on a regular basis at one of our programs to community and employee groups who tackle big projects.  Whether it’s on-call for LGBT Switchboard, supporting special events, serving lunch at the Montrose Diner, or working with youth, our volunteers help drive our programs and deliver compassionate support to our clients.  Whether you are here once a week or once a year, thank you for supporting day-to-day operations and forging community connections.

A special thanks to our special events crew during the Montrose Center’s very own March madness. Our annual St. Patrick’s Day Bringin’ In the Green fundraiser brought in more than $20,000 , and it couldn’t have happened without the team effort of Jim, Hiroe, Olivia, Wesley, Tola, Kellie, and Jake. And a special thanks goes out to Jody, Kim, Duy, Hiroe, Miguel, Cody, AJ, and Wesley for their talents and skills with Outreach United’s inaugural Casino Party! Funds from both of these events were donate directly toward the Center, and as you can see, our crew was all smiles!

So Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week to all of our volunteers who brighten the lives of our program participants and staff!  Thank you for doing what it takes to contribute to others and for bringing love, fun, and accomplishment to your community through the Montrose Center!
