Hatch Youth is Houston’s oldest, currently active social group dedicated to empowering LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults between the ages of 7 and 24. Hatch Youth peer support groups foster a safe and affirming space where young individuals can socialize, receive mentorship and guidance, and participate in enriching educational and creative activities. Our aim is to empower youth in and around Houston to not just survive, but thrive!

If you are a youth or a parent of a child who would like to learn how to join Hatch, please contact our Youth Services Specialist by email at hatchyouth@montrosecenter.org or simply complete an intake form when you arrive at your first Hatch meeting.

Les groupes comprennent des présentations, du temps social, des programmes et des petits groupes, et sont organisés par le personnel de Hatch et des animateurs bénévoles formés. Les jeunes ont accès à des modèles et à du soutien par leurs pairs et peuvent participer à des projets et à des événements spéciaux, y compris le bal des finissants Hatch et la marche dans le défilé annuel Pride Houston 365. Il n’y a pas de frais pour les activités.

Hatch Youth (ages 13-17) peer support groups take place meetings every Friday and Sunday from 6:30-9:30 PM in Room 114.

Hatch Jr. peer support groups take place on the 2nd* and 4th Sundays of each month from 2-4:30 PM in Room 101.

*2nd Sunday meetings coincide with PFLAG Houston’s monthly meeting from 2-4:30 PM in Room 112/113 at the Montrose Center, which parents can attend while their child is in Hatch Jr.!

Hatched Out peer support groups take place every Tuesday 6-8 PM in Room 114.
