DESCRIPTION:Recovery Support Peer Specialist training serves individuals with lived addiction recovery experience who wish to support others in their recovery journey. The certification program focuses on addiction-specific peer support skills\, relapse prevention strategies\, and recovery advocacy. Participants develop competencies in motivational interviewing\, crisis intervention\, resource navigation\, and trauma informed care approaches specifically tailored for addiction recovery context. The program emphasizes ethical considerations\, professional boundaries\, and self-care practices essential for sustainable peer support work. 40 hours total for certification.
