The queer Refuge Recovery meeting I lead is the first and only queer refuge meeting in Houston. It is a unique space built for queer people seeking a different form of recovery. Refuge Recovery\, although originally founded for addiction\, is a flexible program that can be used for any sort of obsessive thinking pattern or mental illness. Whether someone is in need of learning how to meditate\, interested in Buddhist practices\, looking for a different approach to recovery\, or simply searching for a new community of queer and gender expansive support\, this meeting has the ability to serve anyone who enters it.C.
