Hearts Full of Thanks

This month, our hearts are full of gratitude for the following groups, businesses, and individuals who recently honored us with their support.

If you missed the Krewe Ball this weekend, you’ll want to be sure to catch next year’s event! We are grateful that our Holiday Basket program was a Krewe of Olympus beneficiary, and we sure had a blast helping out backstage!

Bunnies on the Bayou has chosen HATCH as a beneficiary of their upcoming April event. Thank you, Bunnies, for supporting our work with GLBT and Questioning youth.

The Sundance Cattle Company has chosen MCC as a beneficiary of their upcoming fundraising efforts. Thank you for this honor, and for the “Sweets for My Sweetie” benefit you held on February 12.

Once again, Rice University’s Queers and Allies chose HATCH as the beneficiary of their annual drag show on 3/16. Thank you for your continuing support!

This year is the third in a row that Silver Eagle Distributors is proud to sponsor MCC events with their $3,000 donation. Thanks, Silver Eagle!

As always, we send our love and gratitude to the hard-working members of ERSICSS. Thank you to Emperor 27 Scott Kenyon and Empress 27 Lillian Devereaux for including MCC in their reign’s fundraising efforts, and congratulations to the newly crowned Emperor 28 Chris Sushi Valk and Empress 28 Vixen Winters! We were honored to be at the beautiful Coronation January 21.

Special thanks go out to everyone who attended, volunteered at, or participated in MCC’s free screening of the documentary GenSilent on January 26. More than 130 people gathered to learn about what we can do to support our community’s seniors. Special thanks to the John Steven Kellett Foundation and the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration for funding the event. To learn more about what you can do to help keep our seniors healthy and thriving, check out the newly launched 4Ever Family volunteer project.

Lastly, thank you to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston for inviting MCC and our supporters to attend the free sneak peek of the motion picture Albert Nobbs on January 26.
