The Jewish Federation of Greater Houston is facilitating Hineni Houston, a community-wide effort that engages people in conversations that address, “What are your aspirations for Houston’s Jewish community, now and for the future?”

In partnership with Keshet Houston and QJews, we are inviting folks who identify as Jewish and LGBTQ+ to a Listening Forum at the Montrose Center on Tuesday, December 6, at 6:30 pm. Please come and be heard!

What is the goal of the Listening Forum?
We want to listen to the perspectives, priorities and needs of the Jewish LBGTQIA+ community to inform the Federation’s role as a convener and connector of Jewish life. The insights from this Listening Forum, along with 40+ other listening forums will be used to shape Federation growth and innovation plans, including funding and programming decisions.

What happens at a Listening Forum?
For 90 minutes, we will facilitate conversations on topics that participants decide are most important. From these conversations we aim to surface our community strengths, our barriers to connection and inclusiveness, and our visions for vibrancy, meaning, and innovation in the Jewish community. Collective themes and insights from all of the Hineni Houston events will be gathered, synthesized and shared back with local Jewish institutions and the community.
