Conference Builds Support for Transgender Children – Jun 20-21

Grey GI logoAs their website says, “Gender Infinity has a simple vision: that the world will be inviting to every child, regardless of gender expression and identity.” This year’s Friday conference invites educational, legal, health care, and mental health providers as well as students. The goal is to learn to assist families that have children with non-traditional gender expression or identity navigate various systems to support their children.  Sessions will focus on resources, networking, best practices and legal accommodations surrounding transgender youth.

On Saturday, families are invited for fun, learning and connection, with a track for parents and activities for children.  The Gender Infinity Conference will be held at the DePelchin Children’s Center.  Coordinators include Becca Keo-Meier, Colt Keo-Meier, and James Gonzales, all of whom are respected advocates for the transgender community and serve as active volunteer facilitators with The Montrose Center’s Hatch Youth program.
